1Respect everyone
  • No harassment, hate speech, racism, threats or targeted insults - in game or on the forums. If someone asks you to stop, stop.
  • Never share someone's personal information.
  • Keep chat, character names and guild names free of offensive content. Staff may rename or remove anything that isn't.
  • That includes staff. StarleafMS is run by volunteers in their free time: disagree politely, but don't harass, insult or spread lies about staff members.
2No botting or cheating
  • No hacks, bots, macros, auto-clickers, key-weighting, packet editing or any third-party program that changes the game or plays for you.
  • No AFK farming: don't leave summons, pets or anything else hunting for you while you are away.
  • If a staff member checks whether you are a bot, answer them. Not answering counts as botting.
  • Use only the official StarLeaf client files. Editing the game files or memory to gain any advantage is cheating.
  • Never run cheat tables, trainers or "free NX" tools, even just to look. Many of them steal your account name and password, and the server detects the common ones.
3Bugs and exploits
  • Found a bug? Report it with @reportbug or in the Bug Reports forum. Using a bug to your advantage is an exploit.
  • Exploiting leads to a ban and a rollback of whatever was gained. Reporting it gets you a thank-you from staff (and sometimes a reward).
  • HP and MP can't be bought or washed. AP can't go into MaxHP or MaxMP and AP Reset can't move HP or MP - HP only grows by levelling and by Strengthening from bosses and the Weekly Challenge, never from a shop or the Cash Shop.
  • Using any bug or exploit to gain MaxHP or MaxMP (or to wash HP) leads to a ban, and the HP or MP gained is removed.
4Hunting and maps
  • No kill stealing. If someone keeps hunting in your map after you ask them to leave, use @mylawn to show the map is yours and report them.
  • Add a screenshot that shows the chat and the output of @time when you report it, so staff can check it.
  • Only hold a map you can actually clear. Don't sit in a map just to keep others out.
  • Don't block or camp area bosses so others can't fight them, and don't sell map access or boss spawns.
  • Multi-clienting is allowed, but you may hunt with only one character at a time.
  • In Party Quests and boss runs it's one character per person per party - don't fill a party with your own alts.
5Trading
  • No real-money trading: don't buy or sell accounts, items, mesos or services for real money or anything outside the game.
  • Knowingly taking items or mesos from a player banned for real-money trading can get you banned too, and those items and mesos are removed.
  • No scamming: if you agree to a deal, keep your side of it.
  • No fake bidding: don't bid without meaning (or being able) to pay, and don't get friends to push up the price of your own item.
  • Selling or trading accounts is not allowed, even for in-game items.
6Accounts
  • Your account is your responsibility. Sharing it is at your own risk: if it gets banned, everyone who used it is banned with it.
  • Don't use multiple accounts to get extra Party Points, milestone rewards, event rewards or boss clears.
  • Banned players may not play on another account unless staff give permission. Ban evasion bans every account involved.
  • Funding a ban evader, or knowingly helping one, is punished the same as the evasion itself.
  • Staff will never ask for your password. Don't impersonate staff.
7Community
  • No advertising other servers or unrelated links.
  • Guides and other posts on the forums may be kept, archived or restored by staff so the community doesn't lose them.
  • Don't spread false information about server features or development, and don't pretend to know unreleased plans. Official news comes from staff.
8Enforcement
  • Depending on how serious it is, breaking a rule leads to a warning, a mute, a temporary ban or a permanent ban.
  • Staff may limit or remove access to the game, website or forums when needed. Attacks on the server or its players lead to a permanent ban and removal of the account.
  • Staff decisions are final in game. If you think a decision was wrong, post in the Questions & Help forum - for bans, follow Ban appeals below.
  • StarleafMS is a free community project, provided as is. It may change or shut down at any time.
  • There is no compensation for rollbacks, crashes or items lost to server issues.
  • These rules can change - the version on this page is the one that counts. Last updated 2026-10-09.
9Ban appeals
  • You get one appeal per ban. Log in on the website and send it from your profile page; staff will reply there within 7 days.
  • Don't play on any other account while your appeal is open.
  • Ban evasion voids your appeal.
Penalty ladder

Each new ban for breaking the rules moves you one step up. Serious cases (hacking, real-money trading, attacks on the server) can skip straight to a permanent ban.

You get one appeal per ban. Log in on the website and open your profile: it shows the reason, when the ban ends, and the appeal form. Staff answer there.
